Worldwide Statistical Resources

There are many sources for statistics on a worldwide, regional, or country basis. This is a selective list. The governments of many countries publish statistics online, as do international organizations. Northwestern University Library's Government Information Department provides links to the web sites of foreign governments and international governmental organizations

Statistical sources that are broad in scope:

NationMaster : Data from various sources can be displayed and compared graphically among nations.

OFFSTATS: Official Statistics on the Web: University of Auckland Library. Free statistical data from official sources. Data may be searched by country, region, or topic.

United Nations Common Database (UNCDB): "UNCDB provides selected series from numerous specialized international data sources for all available countries and areas."
