The Pritzker Legal Research Center collects Illinois state documents emphasizing primary legal sources such as Illinois session laws, case law, administrative agency decisions, and Illinois legislative history sources. In subject areas, the library is particularly strong in the criminal justice area with a comprehensive collection of Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority publications. While the Pritzker Legal Research Center is not a depository for Illinois documents, the Northwestern University Library Government Publications and Maps Department in Evanston has been a depository for Illinois state documents since 1971. All of the Illinois documents held by the Pritzker Legal Research Center are listed in NUcat. In addition the Illinois State Library provides the following website, Electronic Documents of Illinois, that is a repository for Illinois documents that have been produced in electronic format. The search options at the site are by subject, issuing agency, and website identifiers.
The links to the left are major Illinois web sites that provide the Illinois constitution, statutes, legislative history, cases, regulations, government resources and government statistics. The library also
has access to many Illinois law practice guides and forms.
