This page provides links to some of the top online resources in (primarily) U.S. employment and labor law, but is by no means exhaustive. In some instances, print resources available in the Pritzker Legal Research Center will be more suitable than those listed here. - LexisONE. A free site for searching for opinions issued by the U.S. Supreme Court (1790 to present), U.S. Circuit Courts (1997 to present), and numerous state appellate courts (1997 to present). Searches are free, but you are required to register in order to use the service.
Supreme Court
- Westlaw: Federal Labor and Employment - Supreme Court Cases
(FLB-SCT). Search for decisions issued since 1790.
- Lexis
(USLED). Search for cases decided since January, 1790.
- LexisONE. A free site for searching for opinions issued by the U.S. Supreme Court (1790 to present), U.S. Circuit Courts (1997 to present), and numerous state appellate courts (1997 to present). Searches are free, but you are required to register in order to use the service.
- FindLaw: Supreme Court Opinions. A free web site for searching or browsing Supreme Court cases dating back to 1893. This site also posts opinions within a few hours of their release by the Supreme Court.
- Cornell's Legal Information Institute. At this free site, the user may search through all opinions issued since 1990, and through selected opinions issued before then. This site posts opinions within a few hours of their release by the Supreme Court.
- Supreme Court Opinions. From the U.S. Supreme Court's web site. Makes available opinions within several hours of the release of the Court's "bench" opinion. It also makes freely available PDF versions of the United States Reports, beginning with vol. 502 (Oct. 1991 term).
