Many of our most
significant and useful electronic research resources are
neither accessible through the free
Internet, nor discoverable
by
popular search engines. Access to these important
resources is restricted by license
agreement to select groups
within the
Northwestern community. In addition, a few resources are only accessible from within
the Law School
campus.
The Law Library provides access to these licensed resources through its web site. Next to each
resource link, you
will find an icon indicating the exact
nature of any
access restrictions, along with tips on
connecting
when
specialized
restrictions apply.

Access from home or off-campus
Whenever access to a resource is not explicitly restricted to
the Law School buildings or the NU campus, we make the
resource available to you off-campus by using a proxy server. Upon clicking on
the resource's link within the Law
Library's web site, you will automatically be redirected to a proxy server and
prompted for your University NetID
and
password. If you have the correct school affiliation, you will then be automatically
redirected to the desired resource.
