Admissions Information

Application Deadline: February 1, 2013

All candidates for admission to the accelerated LLM program can apply online or via a paper pdf application. Applicants may apply to the one summer or two summer option. While a personal interview is not required, it is strongly recommended. To request an admissions interview, please contact the accelerated LLM program office at allm@law.northwestern.edu. Interviews will be conveniently scheduled via Skype or telephone.

Required Application Items

• Accelerated LLM Application
• Resume
  Students must submit a resume outlining previous education and work experience.
• TOEFL
  Students must have a high level of English proficiency. Foreign applicants whose native language is not English must submit an official copy of their TOEFL score report. (We only accept the Internet Based TOEFL.)
• Transcripts
  Applicants are required to submit an official transcript from all post-secondary institutions attended.
• Essays
  There is one required essay and one optional essay (two choices).
• Letter of Recommendation
• $100 Application Fee
  Request an application fee waiver

Notification Process

Admissions decisions to the accelerated LLM program are made on a rolling basis and will be sent via email. Early application submission is strongly encouraged.

Enrollment

Enrollment Deposit Deadline: March 15, 2013

A non-refundable deposit of $750 is required to hold your place in the class. A one day orientation is required for participation in the Program and will take place during the first week of class. Students who complete the program requirements of the accelerated LLM program will earn an LLM degree from Northwestern University School of Law.

F1 Visa

All non-U.S. residents will require an F1 visa in order to participate in the program. The I20 application and F1 visa information will be sent to students upon acceptance into the program.
