The Northwestern Law National Trial Team took first place in the Cathy Bennett National Criminal Trial Competition, hosted by the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) in Chicago last month. In addition to the team award, Jill R. Trumbull-Harris (3L) was named the Cathy Bennett Overall Best Advocate of the competition and Alais L. Griffin (2L) was named Best Advocate of Round One. Northwestern faced Temple in the final round, which was judged by the Honorable James Moran (NDIL). The other schools participating in this year's invitational competition were Georgetown, Wisconsin, Michigan, John Marshall, Southwestern, Thomas Cooley, Alabama, Georgia, Houston, and Puerto Rico.
