Orientation Attire
During Orientation, you will be attending a variety of events that will vary in their degrees of formality. We request that you please dress in business casual attire for the following events:
Directory Photo– Wednesday, August 24, 2011
Directory Photo, WildCard, and UPass photos will be taken when you check in. The Northwestern Law online Directory Photo is a valuable and frequently used reference tool for students, faculty, and staff. We also print and share copies of the Directory Photo with employers during on-campus-interviewing programs. Please remember to dress in business casual attire FROM THE WAIST UP so that your resulting Directory Photo will be appropriate to hand out to employers. The photos will cut off at mid-torso, so you may wear casual pants and shoes, if you wish. Dress mindful that you may be on your feet for several hours and that August in Chicago can be very warm.
Tax Program Reception - Thursday, August 25, 2011
Please wear business casual attire as this is one of your first opportunities to meet your professors in person. Men should wear slacks, polo or button down shirts, ties are optional. Women should wear dresses, slacks or skirts, sweaters or blouses. NO jeans, T-shirts, or flip flops. For all other events, the recommended attire is casual dress.
