This website is run by a nonprofit dedicated to providing free legal assistance to journalists. It has lots of good information about first amendment, confidentiality, freedom of information, and other journalist related topics.
- The State Public Interest Research Groups
The state PIRGs are a network of independent, state-based, citizen-funded organizations that advocate for the public interest. Their goal is to use citizen activism to protect the environment, encourage a fair and sustainable economy, and foster a responsive democratic government. The website has information about various grassroots campaigns going on in the various states and information on how to get involved.

This website, run by a NY Law firm, contains information about elder law, Medicare, Medicaid, guardianship, estate planning, trusts and the rights of the elderly and disabled. There are summaries of the rights of the elderly and disabled and links to various other resources on the topic.
- Trial Lawyers for Public Justice Foundation
This is a national public interest law firm dedicated to using trial lawyers' skills and resources to create a more just society. TLPJ fights for justice through precedent-setting and socially significant individual and class action litigation. Their website has downloadable publications, briefs and documents from their cases organized by topic, and a searchable database of public interest law groups by state and area of interest.
