Request Transcripts
Current students may request transcripts online.
Alumni Transcripts
An official transcript bears the Northwestern University School of Law Seal and a signature certifying its authenticity.
Official transcripts are sensitive and official documents, and their release requires a written signature.
Alumni may request an official transcript by visiting the Office of the Registrar during office hours Monday thru Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., or sending a written request by letter or fax (you can only request one transcript via fax) with the following information:
- Name under which you were enrolled at Northwestern University School of Law
- Social Security Number
- Date of attendance
- Degree(s) earned and date(s) awarded, if any
- Complete address to be sent
- Personal/Business check made out to: Northwestern University
- Billing address
- Biling fax number
- Phone number or email address
- YOUR SIGNATURE (we will not process a request without your signature) and date.
Transcript request cannot be e-mailed. Please allow sufficient time for mail transport. Express mail must be prepaid.
Official transcripts for alumni and former students are $5.00 per transcript. Normal processing time is 2-3 business days. During the months of December - January and April - May, please allow a minimum of 5 business days for processing, in addition to mailing transport time.
Rush service for transcripts is available for an additional $7.00 fee, plus $5.00 for each transcript copy.
PLEASE NOTE: All faxed transcript requests are considered "rush" requests and will be charged the additional $7.00 rush fee. Only one transcript can be requested via fax. Transcripts cannot be e-mailed or faxed.
