The Law School Entry-Level Appointments Committee and Personnel Committee recruit for all tenured and tenure-track appointments at the rank of assistant, associate, and full professor. Faculty appointments are made upon recommendation to the dean by the full-time tenure-track faculty. The dean of the Law School, University provost, and University Board of Trustees must approve all faculty appointments.
The Law School actively recruits for faculty positions at the tenure-track levels listed above and the following non-tenure-track professorships: Senior Lecturer, Adjunct Professor, Visiting Assistant Professor, Visiting Assistant Professor in Taxation, clinical appointments in our Bluhm Legal Clinic and the Communication and Legal Reasoning (CLR) Program and Pre/Post Doctorate Programs (in various disciplines) offered jointly with the Kellogg School of Management.
