Distinguished Entrepreneur Award

Northwestern University Law School is pleased to present its first Distinguished Entrepreneur Award to Randall Kaplan, President and CEO of JUMP Investors, LLC, a Los Angeles based private equity and venture capital firm that also serves as his family office. The award is in recognition of Randall’s extensive history of achievement as both an entrepreneur and investor. Upon receiving the award, Randall, a Northwestern Law alumnus, will provide the Conference’s keynote speech.”

Prior to founding JUMP Investors, Randall was a co-founder of Akamai Technologies (NASDAQ: AKAM), an Internet infrastructure company with a market capitalization exceeding $4 billion and that today serves nearly 20% of the world’s web traffic. Prior to Akamai, Randall worked for three years as a Managing Director at SunAmerica Inc., a financial services company purchased by AIG for $18 billion in late 1998. Prior to joining SunAmerica, Randall practiced corporate, securities and tax law for several years.
