11th Annual Public Service Dinner

Established in 2004, the Public Service Benefit Dinner is a fundraiser organized and hosted each spring by the Student Funded Public Interest Fellowship (SFPIF) organization. The Benefit Dinner was designed to bring law school alumni and current students together to celebrate and honor individual commitments to serving the public interest. In particular, each year, the Benefit Dinner honors three Northwestern Law School alums for their outstanding work in public service.

SFPIF uses the money raised by the dinner to provide Len Rubinowitz Public Interest Fellowship grants for law students who work in otherwise unpaid public interest jobs over the summer. Last summer SFPIF was able to distribute grants to 51 law students, enabling them to pursue a wide variety of summer positions in public interest and public service sectors.
