James is originally from West St. Paul, Minnesota. He attended the University of Notre Dame
in South Bend, IN, where he graduated with honors after receiving his B.A. in English, with a second
concentration in French. While attending Notre Dame, James alternatively worked as a loan coordinator
for Conseco Finance, a research assistant in the annuities brokerage division of American Express, and
an accredited researcher for Notre Dame's Behavioral Sleep Laboratory, on a National Institutes of Health
funded study. In addition to his degree, James also holds a certificate of completion from the Centre Internationale
d'Etudes Francaises (International Center for French Studies) at the Universite Catholique de l'Oeust, in Angers, France.
Before leaving to attend law school, James worked as a product consultant for the Chicago based financial research
firm Morningstar. James is currently enrolled in the Juris Doctor program at Northwestern University, and will receive
his degree in Spring 2009. James is interested in pursuing a career in real estate or tax law upon graduation.
