Sports Law Week

Monday, March 26--Sports Law Week starts out with a
talk by an agent from CSMG, a major sports agency. This is a
great opportunity to learn about the practice of sports agents.
Lunch will be provided.

Tuesday, March 27--Roy Kessel, the Chair for the
Chicago Bar Association, will speak about the legal issues involved in
the sports world. Also, he will speak about career opportunities
in the world of sports law as well as options available for people
with an interest in working in this field. Lunch will be
provided.*

Wednesday, March 28--Mike Lufrano, General Counsel for
the Chicago Cubs, will be speaking. Learn about the legal issues
that the General Counsel for a professional sports team deals
with. Lunch will be provided.

Thursday, March 29--Along with the International Law
Society,the Sports Law Society presents a talk on arbitration at the
Olympics. Brad Andreozzi, partner at Mayer Brown Row & Maw, will
speak about how Olympic arbitration works, the Court of Arbitration
for Sport, and the structure of Olympic governance. This is a great
opportunity to learn about this fascinating topic. Lunch will be
provided.

As the final event of Sports Law Society Week, the
Sports Law Society presents the Second Annual Northwestern University
Sports Trivia Competition and Bar Review. The Sports Trivia
Competition will begin at 8pm, which will flow into Bar Review. The
event will take place at McGee's Tavern, at 950 W. Webster, just East
of Sheffield. This will be a fun event at which you can watch your
friends compete to be the Northwestern Sports Trivia Champion, as well
as catch-up with friends as it is the first Bar Review following
Spring Break.
