Campus Resources

Northwestern Pritzker Law strives to create an inclusive and supportive community of scholars, and conducting a comprehensive climate survey is an important step in our journey. We recognize, however, that members of our community may be impacted by some of the questions explored in the climate survey and we wanted to make available resources for anyone impacted by the process of completing the climate survey. We encourage everyone to take care of themselves.

Office of Inclusion & Engagement
All members of the Law School community are welcome to discuss the climate survey with Associate Dean of Inclusion & Engagement Shannon P. Bartlett at shannon.bartlett@law.northwestern.edu or to diversity@law.northwestern.edu.

NU Center for Awareness, Response, & Education (CARE)
The mission of CARE is to create a culture of healthy sexuality at Northwestern University where sexual violence, relationship violence, and stalking are not tolerated. CARE is a confidential space for students impacted by sexual violence, relationship violence or stalking, including friends or partners of survivors.

Bias Incident Response Team (BIRT)
BIRT a group of administrators who are committed to creating a proactive response to instances of hate and bias. When a student reports a bias/hate incident through RespectNU one of the BIRT members will support the student, connect them with the appropriate resources, and follow-up with them until the situation has been resolved.

Office of Equity
Northwestern has designated the Office of Equity to oversee complaints of discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct at the University. An individual who has experienced misconduct has the right to choose whether to report the incident to Northwestern and request an investigation. Equity staff members are specially trained to work with individuals who report misconduct and have knowledge about on- and off-campus resources, services, and options – including the availability of supportive measures.

Confidential Support

The following confidential resources are available to discuss issues with members of the Northwestern University and are not obligated to disclose reports of discrimination and harassment to the Office of Equity.
