Historical Perspectives on Ethical Lawyering and the Regulation of Lawyers

In order to effectuate change within our chosen profession, we must look at varied perspectives on what it means to be an ethical lawyer. This course will look at the conceptualization of the lawyer’s role in American society and in a democracy throughout history. Through studying lawyer role models we will view various perspectives on the meaning of being a principled professional.
