Your Journey Toward A Northwestern Law Executive LLM

The Executive LLM Chicago program accepts applications throughout the year with a final application deadline of January 15. We encourage all applicants to submit their application early.

Required Application Items

In addition to filing out our online form, every application must include the following requirements:

  • Resume
  • TOEFL Certificate
    All students must have a high level of English proficiency. Applicants whose native language is not English must submit an official copy of their TOEFL score report. (NOTE: We only accept the Internet Based TOEFL)
  • Transcripts
    Submit an official transcript from all post-secondary institutions you attended
  • Essays
    There is one required essay and one optional essay (two choices)
  • Letter of Recommendation
  • Application fee
    Provide the $75 application fee or request an application fee waiver.

Notification Process

Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis and will be sent via email.

Enrollment

A non-refundable deposit of $750 is required to hold your place in the class. A one-day orientation is required for participation in the program and will take place during the first week of class. Students who complete the program requirements will earn an LLM degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.

F1 Visa

All non-U.S. residents will require an F1 visa in order to participate in the program. You will receive the I20 application and F1 visa information upon acceptance into the program. For more detailed information, visit Northwestern University’s student visa page.
