Part-Time LLM Tax

The part-time program is ideal for practicing attorneys who want the added advantage of an LLM Tax Degree, but prefer to continue working while earning the degree.

The Advantages of the Part-Time LLM Tax Degree

By enrolling in the Tax Program on a part-time basis, students have the opportunity to continue on their career path while enhancing their career prospects by learning the specialized and technical skills needed to practice tax law successfully.

Part-time students also benefit from the problem set course model used across the Tax Program curriculum. Professors teach students how to interpret and apply the tax law to hypothetical and actual cases, and as working tax professionals, part-time students can relate to the cases discussed in class and immediately apply those techniques to their daily practice.

Part-time students also have access to the same academic and career resources as full-time students and are encouraged to participate in Tax Program extracurricular activities to expand their tax knowledge while building their professional network.

Degree Requirements

Part-time students must satisfy the same course requirements as the full-time students in order to receive the LLM Tax Degree. All students must successfully complete a minimum of 24 credits, 12 of which are required courses. Students have up to five years from the initial matriculation date to complete the required credit to receive their LLM in Tax.
