The LGBTQI+ Rights Clinic and the National Transgender Bar Association invite you to "Nothing About Us Without Us: Trans Lawyers Fighting for Trans Rights." Hear from keynote speaker Dee Farmer, the first transgender plaintiff to bring a case before the U.S. Supreme Court. Farmer's case—in which the Supreme Court established the standard for when a prison official violates the Eighth Amendment's protection from cruel and unusual punishment for deliberate indifference, Farmer v. Brennan, 511 U.S. 825 (1994)—is now one of the most cited cases in history.
