Before Starting
A Pritzker school of law representative will reach out to see what computer you would like to request. Software includes Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Chrome, Firefox, and Adobe Reader.
Getting Started
An IT representative will meet with you at a scheduled time to help you with your netid, email, printing and backup needs upon your arrival.
- Activate your NetID.
- Register your cell phone for multifactor authentication.
- Some notes on creating strong passwords.
- Set up your Microsoft Exchange email account for Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS (using Outlook or Apple Mail).
- Create an email signature in Windows, or macOS. This can also be done using the Outlook Web App (OWA).
- Connect to the "Northwestern" wireless network with your laptop. If you need assistance, you can access the online instructions for macOS, Windows, iOS (iPhone/iPad), or Android.
- Subscribing to a listserv.
- Share your Exchange calendar for Windows, macOS.
