Study

The Pritzker Legal Research Center offers patrons several options for individual and group study.

Group study rooms

Fourteen study rooms are available to students working in groups of two or more. Please visit the EMS site to reserve library and Levy Mayer group study rooms. Patrons forfeit rooms if not present within fifteen minutes of the reserved time.

Please be aware that at certain times of the year the rooms are reserved for moot court competition or break-out rooms for classes. Instructors should contact the Registrar for details.

Study rooms with TVs and VCRs: 270, 271, and 272

To reserve a DVD player, contact Law School Administrative Services: 3-8463.

Computer Labs

The library has three computer labs with 27 computers and three networked printers. Library Map is available to help you find the computer labs.

Lockers

Book lockers are available in the library to students on a first-come, first-served basis during the fall semester. Click here for more information or to apply for a book locker.

Note for Fall 2013: Many students have experienced trouble logging on to the law school server to request a library locker. Due to a glitch in the system, you will have to reset your password.

Please log on to https://validate.it.northwestern.edu/idm/user/login.jsp to change your password. Once you reset your password, you should be able to log on to the law school server successfully.

Wireless Access

All carrels and many tables in the library have power for laptop use. Internet access for laptop computers is available from 75 wired carrels on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Rubloff or the library's wireless network.
