for fresh ideas about how to convey your organization’s policy agenda to
elected officials? Need to get your members up to speed on how government
works? Seeking a deeper understanding of the skills needed to influence the
legislative process or agency decision-making? If yes, this training is for
you!
Training For Impact offers trainings for non-profits and foundations on the
tools to influence policy change. Amanda Fuchs Miller (JD'02) advocates
on behalf of non-profits in the education space, and teaches advocacy courses
at American University. She previously worked in the U.S. Senate, at the
Department of Justice, and as the head of government relations for a national
education non-profit. Martha Coven is an expert on
fiscal policy and social services, and teaches at Princeton University. She
previously worked for the U.S. House leadership, handled legislative affairs
for a non-profit, and served in the White House and the Office of Management
and Budget.
