The Law & Gender Colloquium is an advanced seminar that convenes outside scholars, resident faculty, and Northwestern students for discussions of cutting-edge research that illuminates the intersection of law and gender. Throughout the semester, leading scholars will present on areas of law that bear particularly on gender. Colloquium participants will gain a broader understanding of the gendered implications of law across disparate doctrinal and policy areas while gaining a deeper appreciation for the complex relationships between race, class, sexuality and gender in law.

Melissa Murray, Frederick I. and Grace Stokes Professor of Law and Faculty Director, Birnbaum Women’s Leadership Network, NYU Law, will present her paper, Race-Ing Roe: Reproductive Justice, Racial Justice, and The Battle for Roe V. Wade.  Please contact Sarah Shoemaker with any questions.
