Business Torts

This course provides an overview of tort law in general (breach of a duty owed, liability, injury, damages) and explores the application of tort law principles in the business context. Topics may include: fraud, misrepresentation, toxic torts, trade disparagement, product liability, deceptive trade practices, and tortious interference with contracts or business relationships. This course will highlight the areas where common law torts overlap with regulatory law.
