Admissions Interviews

Admissions Interviews

Northwestern Pritzker School of Law has the longest standing admissions interviewing program of any law school in the country.

Interviews are optional and provide the Admissions Committee with additional information about the applicant's interpersonal and communication skills, maturity, and motivation. These conversations also help us to preserve the strong sense of community and cooperative culture for which we are known, while providing you with the opportunity to build your application.

Applicants may opt into the interview process within the application form. Soon thereafter, you will receive instructions and guidance from the Admissions Office for completing your online video interview.

Online Video Interviews for JD and LLM Applicants

We are delighted to offer an online video interview platform to our applicants. You will view questions that have been written and filmed by members of the Northwestern Law community. In turn, you will have a set amount of time to record your answers. Your online video interview will be incorporated with your application and the Admissions Committee will view your responses as we consider your candidacy. Our FAQ page provides answers to questions we typically receive about the video interview platform here
