This class will teach the mechanics of drafting with an emphasis on developing practical skills and tools for use in practice. Students will be given hands-on experience drafting and negotiating contracts routinely encountered by business lawyers in advising clients on their business operations . More specifically students will receive an introduction to contract structure and drafting techniques. They will learn to translate the terms of a business deal into contract concepts. Finally they will have an opportunity to draft a logically-organized, precise, enforceable contract in plain English.
