Shéetom received her BA in Communications from Illinois State University in 2009, with a specialty in Radio Production. She worked for ISU her entire time there, as an RA and helping run the campus radio station. She moved to Chicago in the summer of 2009, having previously lived in Georgia, Kentucky, New Mexico, and Germany. Shéetom joined the Career Strategy Center in 2010.

Natalie A. Bautista

Natalie is the career adviser for international LLM students. Prior to joining Northwestern Law, Natalie worked at Santa Clara University School of Law as an Assistant Director of Graduate Employment and as a Lecturer in Law for the Civil Practice High Tech and Social Justice Externship Seminar course. Natalie practiced law for over seven years, specializing in employment-based immigration. She has practiced both in San Francisco and Chicago. Natalie received her JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law and her BA in International Relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University.

Pascale J. Bishop

Pascale has seven years of experience in law career services and five years of experience in the practice of law. Prior to joining Northwestern University School of Law, Pascale served as the Assistant Dean of Career Development at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Director of Career Services at Chicago-Kent College of Law and Associate Director of Career Services at The John Marshall Law School. Before entering the career services arena, she practiced in the areas of litigation and international trade at both the Chicago and Washington, D.C. offices of McDermott Will & Emery and at Barnes & Thornburg, Chicago. She also previously served as Director of Legal Recruiting for the legal search company, Mestel and Company. Pascale graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, and cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School.

Janet Siegel Brown

Janet Siegel Brown received her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2001, M.S. in Management from the New York University Graduate School of Public Service in 2005, and B.A. from Tufts University in 1992. She joined the law school as Lecturer and Director of Judicial Clerkships in 2014. Prior to that, she clerked in the staff attorney’s office of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and for the Honorable Sheila Finnegan in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, as well as practicing law at a large law firm and in state and local government in Chicago and New York.

Dave received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1995, M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University in 2003, and B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Iowa in 1992 Before to joining the Career Strategy Center in 2006, Dave was the Director in the Career Services Office at The John Marshall Law School and a career counselor at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He also worked as a transactional attorney in Chicago for six years and gained public sector work experience while in law school. Outside of the office, Dave sat on the Public Interest Law Initiative Board of Directors for nine years and is an active member of NALP, including previously serving as the organization's Vice-President of Finance.

Mary F. Maher

Mary Maher has rejoined the Career Strategy Center as the associate director and adviser for students in the Tax Program. Mary is an attorney, originally from Australia, and is admitted to practice law in both Australia and New York state. She holds a law degree from the University of Sydney and a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Chicago. She practiced for six years in both Australia and the United States, primarily with Baker & McKenzie. She previously worked with the Career Strategy Center for over three years advising both international and domestic LLM students. She is also the Researcher and Co-developer of the International Directory of Lawyer Qualification, a comprehensive guide to the legal education and admission requirements of almost 50 countries. For the past two years she worked as a career adviser at Columbia University Law School.

Kathleen Stendahl Meier

Kate Meier joins the Career Strategy Center after serving as a recruiter and a career counselor at a local law school. Kate has worked for firms in Chicago, London and Hong Kong, where she focused on consumer finance, franchising, international commercial contracts and business development. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School.

Puja Singh Patel

Puja joins the Career Strategy Center after having worked as an Assistant Attorney General at the Illinois Attorney General's Office. Prior to joining the Attorney General's Office, Puja was an Associate at Franczek Radelet P.C. practicing education and employment law. Puja received her J.D. from Northwestern School of Law in 2006 and her BA in Environmental Science from Duke University in 2001.

Frederick Daniel Pelzer

Fred received his BA in Fiction and Theatre Arts from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011, where he worked for the University's Office of Admissions. He has also previously worked for the U.S. State Department and Pittsburgh Seltzer Works, among other jobs. His fiction and plays have been produced or published in several places. He joined the Career Strategy Center in 2012.

Arden Joy Schuman

Arden has worked in marketing and event planning for nearly ten years with a focus on Chicago-area non-profits. After hours, Arden uses her marketing skills to volunteer with local non-profits and to embark on creative endeavors such as a travel website for women and a Chicago themed podcast. Arden received her BA in Communications from Messiah College and also spent a year in Japan teaching English. Arden joined the Career Strategy Center in 2011.

Cindy Wilson

Cindy Wilson received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 1986 and her B.A. from Knox College in 1982. She joined the law school in 2000 and is currently a public interest advisor for the Career Center as well as a Clinical Professor and Director of the Bluhm Clinic Center on Externships. Cindy previously worked as a civil rights attorney at the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and as a judicial law clerk.
