Northwestern University Center on Law, Business, and Economics

Northwestern University Center on Law, Business, and Economics

The Northwestern University Center on Law, Business, and Economics is a nonprofit research and educational organization committed to the study of the impact of laws and regulations on economic growth.

Based at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, the Center was originally founded as the Searle Center on Law, Business and Economic Growth in 2006 with a generous grant from the late Daniel C. Searle. The Center is also grateful for the generous support it has received from a variety of external organizations.

Our efforts seek to provide academic, public policy, and judicial leaders with analytically rigorous and balanced information on important and timely issues.

Research, education, and outreach are conducted in accordance with the highest standards and maintain practical utility through consultation with our Faculty Affiliates across Northwestern University and other partner schools.

The mission of the Center on Law, Business, and Economics is to study the impact of laws and regulations on economic growth and to communicate the results of that research to academic, public policy and judicial leaders. The Center has a dual mission of research and education.
