Ellen Mulaney joined the faculty in August, 2006. She teaches Common Law Reasoning and Communication and Legal Reasoning. Before coming to Northwestern she was Coordinator of a joint initiative between the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services that established an ethics code and ethics training protocol for child welfare professionals.
After law school Ms. Mulaney practiced administrative, corporate and tax law at law firms in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. She has previously taught courses in contracts and business law and she served for ten years as a member of the Illinois State Board of Ethics.
