Before joining the Northwestern faculty, Professor Schrup served as a law clerk in the Seventh Circuit and for the Honorable Ruben Castillo in the Northern District of Illinois. Ms. Schrup also spent four years teaching Appellate Advocacy at Loyola Law School, where she customized a course on child advocacy for Loyola's child-law fellows. In addition, Ms. Schrup was a litigation associate at Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago, focusing primariliy on commercial, employment and securities matters.
Beginning in Fall 2006, Ms. Schrup will be starting a new clinical offering at the Law School that focuses on advanced appellate advocacy. Students in the course will have the opportunity to brief and argue criminal appeals before the Seventh Circuit. She also will be co-teaching the new Supreme Court Clinic during the 2006-2007 academic year.
