Biography

Jocelyn Francoeur became the Director of Academic and Professional Excellence (APEx) Program in 2017 and joined the faculty in 2018. In these roles, Jocelyn instructs first-year law students on process-based legal skills, including case briefing, outlining, checklisting, and exam taking. She also teaches intensive upper class seminars that focus on the intersection of legal theory and practice.

Prior to joining the Law School, Jocelyn practiced as a litigation associate and partner in McDermott Will & Emery's Chicago office, where she eventually became the firm's Pro Bono Partner. Jocelyn also served as the Executive Director of Just The Beginning, a legal diversity pipeline organization.
