Where Great Lawyers Are Made

Northwestern Pritzker School of Law prepares lawyers and legal professionals for the most demanding work the profession offers, through rigorous academic training, deep clinical and experiential learning, and a faculty whose scholarship shapes the law itself.

Students learn within a collaborative culture, immersed in one of the country's most dynamic legal and business hubs. Prominent judges and practitioners teach in the Law School's classrooms, and students gain experience in the courthouses, firms, and organizations steps away in downtown Chicago.

The Bluhm Legal Clinic, one of the most comprehensive and effective clinical programs in the country, gives students substantive casework under the guidance of nationally recognized faculty: arguing before federal courts, representing clients in complex legal matters, structuring dynamic transactions, and doing work that advances justice.

As part of Northwestern, the Law School draws on partnerships across the University, including with the Kellogg School of Management and the McCormick School of Engineering, where students work at the frontier of law and technology, helping define how artificial intelligence will be understood, governed, and used in legal practice.
