Leadership Message

Dear Law School Community,

I am honored to have the opportunity to lead Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. This is an institution that I call home, and I am excited to work with you all to shape the future of the Law School.

I have served in various roles at the Law School, and through those experiences, I have come to appreciate the talent, dedication, and creativity across our school. Since the Provost announced my appointment, I have had the chance to engage more broadly with the community, and I am grateful for the warm welcome you have extended me in this new role.

What sets Northwestern Pritzker Law apart is our shared commitment to the mission of training excellent lawyers and legal professionals. That mission unites us—students, faculty, staff, and alumni—and it propels us forward. I am eager to build on our strengths by supporting our students, promoting cutting-edge scholarship, and deepening our connections with our city.

In conversations this summer, I felt a real sense of purpose and momentum. I was pleased to hear from so many of you about your interest in continuing to build this great Law School.

No doubt, there are challenges facing our institution and our profession. But we will meet the challenges ahead by remaining true to our values and by working together.

I begin this new role with hope for the future and gratitude for the support of the Law School and the University. It is a privilege to serve as your dean.
