Structuring Transactions: Financial Institutions

Banks perform a unique role in the economic sphere and, unlike most other private enterprises, are subject to extensive regulation and supervision. In addition to lectures and discussions, half of the classes will involve practical simulations, including negotiating an M&A transaction. The course does not focus on the many technical regulations governing the financial industry, but emphasizes the rationales driving oversight of regulations and policies. BUSCOM 602L Corporations or BUSCOM 601S Business Associations is recommended as a pre- or co-req, but not required.

Catalog Number: BUSCOM 633Z

Additional Course Information: Business Concentration Elective, Experiential Learning
