Presidential Power and the Law

An in-depth look at the separation of powers between the federal branches of government, with an emphasis on presidential power. Among other things, we will explore "unitary executive theory" and its implications for the civil service, the scope of presidential power over national security matters, secrecy doctrines such as executive privilege and the state secrets privilege, and the impeachment power.
