Professional Responsibility in Legal Writing

This two-unit course satisfies the professional writing degree requirements. In this class, we will explore the ethical and professional obligations of lawyers in today’s society and draft multiple documents highlighting issues of ethics and professionalism that arise in the practice of law. Documents may include materials on both procedural and substantive areas of practice such as memoranda, pleadings, motions, and contracts. Our class time will involve active learning exercises and simulations.
