Fintech Law & Regulation
The Fintech industry has attracted attention for its promise to create efficiencies in financial services, disrupt traditional banking, and bring benefits to consumers. At the same time, the industry has generated new business models that raise questions about how decades-old financial services laws should apply and the approaches regulators should take in overseeing the industry. This course highlights novel Fintech business models, the financial services laws and regulations that may apply, and the regulatory agencies and approaches that provide oversight.
