Advanced Legal Research: Historical Methods

ALR: Historical Methods develops students' knowledge of, and experience with interdisciplinary research in law, specifically history. The course gives students a grounding in how 21st century American lawyers and judges construct and critique historical arguments in contemporary legal cases based on appropriate sources of information. The course provides hands-on practice finding historical sources.
