Legal Ethics for Public Interest and Government Lawyers

Public Interest and government lawyering are unique areas of practice and present distinct ethical issues. While we will study the substantive law governing all lawyers regardless of their practice area, the course will focus on ethical challenges most frequently encountered in the government or public sector area. Topics include client identification, application of the privilege conflicts of interest, and decision making authority. This course satisfies the ethics requirements for graduation.
