American Legal History

This seminar in American legal history will focus on the relationship between law and U.S. politics and the economy from Reconstruction to the Reagan Revolution. A variety of topics will be covered, with a particular focus on tax law and fiscal policy. This seminar will consist of a heavy reading list, in-class presentations, and a final seminar paper.
