Copyright Law

This course provides an overview of U.S. copyright law. Students will study key statutory provisions of the Copyright Act as well as judicial opinions that have established and applied important aspects of copyright doctrine. One major theme of the course is the challenge that new media and devices present for copyright law and policy. Students will understand the legal, business, and technological landscape of copyright law, setting them up for further practical experience and in-depth study.
