Biography

Annie Buth is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Law in the Center on Negotiation, Mediation, and Restorative Justice at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. She has developed and taught courses in restorative justice and negotiation. Annie's research areas of interest include restorative justice, dispute resolution, social change, and public interest law. She facilitates circles and dialogues to support building healthy relationships, addressing conflict, and repairing harm. Annie collaborated with students to create Northwestern Circles, a law school community group that uses the circle process to address current issues and build community. Annie is a restorative justice practitioner, mediator, and former litigator. Prior to joining the Center as the M.R. Bauer Foundation Fellow in Dispute Resolution in 2015, Annie practiced as a legal aid attorney, Michigan Court of Appeals staff attorney, and litigation associate. She received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.
