Biography

Michael Melbinger is a partner with Winston & Strawn and is a partner in the firm's employee benefits and executive compensation department. He lectures extensively on executive compensation, retirement plan design, fiduciary issues, health benefit plans, and is the author of numerous articles and books on these topics. See Melbinger, Executive Compensation (CCH, Third Edition, 2019). He is also on the editorial boards of The Corporate Executive, myNQDC.com and Practical Tax Strategies, and writes "Melbinger's Compensation Blog" for CompensationStandards.com, the first and still most widely read blog on the topic.  Mike was elected as a fellow into the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel in 2005, and serves as Chair of the Adjunct Law Professors Committee. Mr. Melbinger graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law. He teaches Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits.
