Visiting Assistant Professor of Law

Biography

Anna Zaret is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and a Ph.D. candidate (ABD) in Jurisprudence and Social Policy at UC Berkeley School of Law. Her research examines how law relies on and shapes expert knowledge across evidence, criminal law and procedure, legal ethics, and health law. Prior to joining Northwestern, she was a Fellow at the Law, Economics, and Politics Center at Berkeley Law and at the UCSF–UC Law Consortium on Law, Science, and Health Policy. She clerked for the Hon. Laurel Beeler of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Her scholarship has appeared or is forthcoming in University of Pennsylvania Law Review, California Law Review, and Annual Review of Law and Social Science, among others. She earned her J.D. magna cum laude from UC Law San Francisco (formerly Hastings), where she served as Senior Articles Editor of Hastings Law Journal and was a Tobriner Social Justice Fellowship recipient.
