Biography
Anna Zaret is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and a Ph.D. candidate in Jurisprudence and Social Policy at UC Berkeley School of Law. Her research investigates the relationship between law and expertise, focusing on how medical and scientific evidence informs criminal procedure, constitutional law, and health law. Prior to joining Northwestern, she was a Fellow at the Law, Economics, and Politics Center at Berkeley Law and at the UCSF–UC Law Consortium on Law, Science, and Health Policy. She clerked for the Hon. Laurel Beeler of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Her scholarship has appeared in the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and the California Law Review. She earned her J.D. magna cum laude from UC Law San Francisco, where she served as Senior Articles Editor of the UC Law Journal and was a Tobriner Social Justice Fellowship recipient.
