Biography

Joy Roberts teaches Communication and Legal Reasoning. Professor Roberts has 17 years of practice experience in private law firms and the government sector representing employers including public and private corporations, governmental entities, and educational institutions against municipal, employment, and labor claims. Before joining Northwestern Law faculty, she was an Associate Director of Career Services at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law where she provided academic and career advising to students and alumni; taught a Success Network Program to first-year law students; served as a panelist and moderated career panels on a range of topics; and promoted diverse employment opportunities and professionalism initiatives.
