Biography

Lisa Winkler joined Northwestern as the Clinical Services Librarian in 2016. In this role she provides research instruction and support for the students, staff, fellows, and faculty of the Bluhm Legal Clinic and broader law school community. She is also an instructor in the Master of Science in Law (MSL) program. Prior to coming to Northwestern, she was the Outreach Services Librarian for the Wisconsin State Law Library and the Branch Librarian at the Dane County Law Library. During that tenure she served on the Limited Scope Representation Subcommittee of the Planning and Policy Advisory Committee of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Lisa holds a B.A in French and International Studies and a M.L.S. in Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a longtime active member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) and its local chapters, having chaired various committees. She is a Past President of the Law Librarians Association of Wisconsin, an AALL Annual Conference presenter on law libraries supporting legal clinics, and is the Chair of the AALL Clinical Services Caucus.
