Sadie Blanchard

Biography
Sadie Blanchard teaches and writes about contracts, corporations, transnational business law, and private law theory. Her research examines how legal institutions interact with social forces to shape behavior, especially in markets. She was the Fellow in Private Law at Yale Law School and a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute on International Procedural Law in Luxembourg. She practiced law in the field of international arbitration in Paris, representing individuals, corporations, and sovereigns, and clerked in The Hague for the "reigning king of international arbitration" and "world's busiest arbitrator."
Blanchard earned a B.A. in economics summa cum laude from Louisiana State University, where she studied in the Honors College, and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
