Faculty Conferences
In addition to their dedication to research and scholarship that advance the understanding of law and legal institutions, the Northwestern Law faculty also understands the importance of effectively communicating those advances to students, academics, legal and business professionals, and government officials.
Our faculty members are also highly regarded for their teaching skills, and some have organized conferences to bring their knowledge to other academics across the country.
Each year Northwestern Law's Center on Negotiation and Mediation and the Kellogg School of Management's Dispute Resolution Center offer a Negotiation Research and Teaching Certificate program. Sessions taught by Northwestern faculty focus on deal making, dispute resolution, negotiation coalitions, decision making, and teamwork. Instructors share teaching exercises and techniques with faculty from other schools and focus on explaining best practices for maximizing students' learning experiences.
