Client Information

Client Information

The Donald Pritzker Entrepreneurship Law Center provides legal services to start-up companies and social entrepreneurs in Illinois and California. Under the supervision of clinical faculty and staff, law students represent clients in a range of transactional matters, including entity selection, protection of intellectual property, operational contracts including customer contracts, drafting website terms and conditions, licensing matters, and worker contracts.

Clients are selected according to several criteria: businesses that can provide students with important and versatile transactional law experience, companies likely to create new jobs for the community, and nonprofit organizations providing a unique service. The DPELC waives all client fees for legal services. All incidental related expenses (e.g. filing fees, etc.) are the responsibility of the client.

Information for Potential Clients

Due to the volume of requests, it is impossible for the DPELC to provide service for all client applicants. To be considered as a DPELC client, please complete the Prospective Client Application Form. We generally consider client requests at the beginning of new semesters in August and December.

Location

The Donald Pritzker Entrepreneurship Law Center is located in the Rubloff building at 750 N Lake Shore Drive. Appointments are required. Walk-ins are not accepted.
