Executive LLM in Madrid
Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, along with IE Law School, offers a program in an executive format that awards a Master of Law (LLM) and Certificate in Business Administration from the schools, respectively. Administered by two of the world’s leading law schools, the program is business-law focused and covers American common law, its application in international practice, and management essentials.
Program Structure
The program is intended to be flexible for participants from all over the world. Students can continue to work as they complete both classroom and online instruction, and are able to choose between two program formats, depending on their work commitments.
In the Traditional Executive Program, participants complete intensive two-week sessions on the Chicago and Madrid campuses in addition to online coursework. The format allows students to earn their degree while taking minimal time away from their other obligations.
Student Profile
An ideal candidate for this program is trained in clinical law and practices in an environment that calls for understanding of the American legal system. The average candidate has between 5 and 10 years of professional experience. The program is truly global and welcomes students from all over the world: 35 countries have been represented since its creation in 2006.
Faculty
Instructors in the Executive LLM program include distinguished faculty from Northwestern Law and IE School of Law. Students will have the chance to learn from faculty members who are experts in their fields.
Given the program’s global nature, participants will also learn from each other as they discuss shared professional experiences.
